During His Term Of Office, The Minister Of Communication And Information Wants To Accelerate The Downstreaming Of Digital Technology
JAKARTA - Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie Setiadi who was present at the 2023 Digital Transformation Indonesia Conference & Expo (DTI-CX) said that currently the government is encouraging equal access to digital and technological innovation in various sectors.
This was done in order to realize Indonesia as the country with the 5th largest GDP to 7th in the world in 2045. Not to forget, he invited all stakeholders to collaborate in downstreaming digital technology.
Budi said personally that he is fully committed to continuing the implementation of the national digital transformation agenda which includes digital infrastructure, digital governance, the digital economy and the digital community.
"This task cannot be completed properly without the active support of MASTEL, APJII and all existing stakeholders," he said in a speech given at the event, citing his official broadcast.
He also said that currently internet penetration in Indonesia has reached 78 percent. Starting from accelerating the provision and distribution of digital infrastructure, optimizing the use of frequency spectrum resources, ASO Program, as well as expanding 5G networks and integrated digital governance.

With a term of office of less than 15 months, the Minister of Communication and Information revealed that it will pay great attention to priority matters such as the policy of implementing 5G networks, drafting regulations related to Publisher Rights, and preparing institutions for the Protection of Personal Data.
"Let us together close ranks in bringing light of the light of digital transformation to all corners of the archipelago so that the nation's economic sustainability can continue to advance for an advanced Indonesia," he said.
Digital Transformation Indonesia Conference & Expo (DTI-CX) 2023 which will be held on 27-27 July has the theme 'Achieving Sustainable Economy Growth Through Digital Transformation.'
