North Maluku's Natural Wealth Abundant, Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno Encourages Equitable Welfare
JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno encourages equitable welfare in North Maluku. This is because, it is undeniable that North Maluku has abundant wealth and can be utilized.
He made this statement when he attended the Inauguration of the North Maluku Family Association (HIKMU) 2023-2026 at Patra Kuningan, Jakarta.
"North Maluku has natural beauty and also the highest level of happiness in Indonesia to continue to be able to encourage equitable economic growth. So that it will create jobs for the people of North Maluku and improve their welfare," said Sandiaga, Saturday, July 22.
For now, Sandi assesses that economic growth in North Maluku is quite good. Therefore, the central government will take steps to improve.
The goal is to make welfare felt by all levels of society.
"Because there are still some homework that we have recorded and we will certainly do improvements and accelerations evenly," he said.
Stunting is said to be one of the problems that occurred in North Maluku. However, many programs have used tourism as a solution.
"When I was in West Halmahera, there was an interesting program, in the tourist village it was to provide packages, programs to overcome the stunting problem that was packaged for tourist destinations," he explained.

On the other hand, North Maluku is also known to have natural wealth such as nickel. It can also be used as a way to prosper the community.
"We must convert this gift from the Almighty to improving community welfare, employment for the people of North Maluku and also improving their household economy," concluded Sandi.
