SKK Migas Targets 11 Upstream Oil And Gas Projects To Be On Stream This Year
JAKARTA - Deputy for Exploitation of the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) Wahju Wibowo said that SKK Migas targets 11 upstream oil and gas projects to be on stream in 2023.
These projects are expected to increase production capacity by 19,077 BOPD and 454 MMSCFD.
"Most of the projects will be on stream in Q3 and Q4 in 2023 with a capex of US$709.2 million or equivalent to Rp10.64 trillion," Wahju said at a press conference in Jakarta, Tuesday, July 18.
Regarding the Hulu Migas National Strategic Project 2023 Wahju said that Tangguh Train 3 will certainly first drop LNG before August 17, 2023, for the Indonesia Deepwater Development of Participating Interest plans to be completed in July 2023 and on stream in 2027,
"Meanwhile, Abadi Masela, the transfer of Participating interest is expected to be completed in July 2023 with an onstream target in 2029," Wahju continued.
Meanwhile, Deputy for Exploration of Work Area Development and Management, Benny Lubiantara, on the same occasion said that the discovery of exploration in 2023 resulted in a total resource of 216 MMBOE.

"Of the 11 exploration wells, 6 wells have been completed, 6 disclosures, 1 well has not been tested and 4 wells are still on going", said Benny.
In addition, in order to support the reduction in carbon emissions, Deputy for Business Support for SKK Migas, Rudi Satwiko said that the upstream oil and gas industry had also taken a number of steps.
"Some of the steps that have been taken include the pilot project of Huff andwah technology and the initiation of CCS-CCUS technology, energy use management, fugitative emission reduction, zero routine flaring, policy formulation and reforestation activities," said Rudi.
