Puan Says Ganjar Doesn't Need To Be A Smart Presidential Candidate For All Fields, The Important Thing Is That He Wants To Work For His People

JAKARTA - The chairman of the PDI-P DPP, Puan Maharani, said that Ganjar Pranowo did not need to master all fields of knowledge when he became a presidential candidate for the 2024 General Election, which was carried by his party.

This was conveyed by Puan in briefing hundreds of campaigners to win Ganjar. According to Puan, what Ganjar must have is the willingness to work to prosper his people.

"We don't need our presidential candidates as if they are all smart. So later the most important thing is the president, presidential and presidential candidates who really want to work for their people, love Indonesia and how to donate themselves to the nation and state," said Puan in Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, July 18.

Moreover, the president continued Puan, has many subordinates, ranging from ministers and other heads of institutions who work in their respective fields to help heads of state promote government.

"Later, it will be supported by a reliable team to help the person concerned. It is impossible for us to be all smart. That's why there is a cabinet, so there are others. Yes, what is the task? Helping the president," explained Puan.

Therefore, Puan asked these young campaigners to promote Ganjar as a presidential candidate with a non-excessive narrative.

"So I did appeal to the campaigner, not to feel that our presidential candidate is the greatest, but great for the people in building the nation and state," he said.

"We need to build elections that will come with fun, joy, love each other, love each other, the point is that we compete to side by side later, not to divide us," said Puan.
