Police-Pertamina Unload 166 Tons Of Subsidized Fuel Hoarding In Pasuruan
The National Police and Pertamina Patra Niaga Jatimbalinus uncovered 166 tons of subsidized fuel hoarding cases in Pasuruan City, East Java.
"This hoarding was carried out by AW who acted as the owner of the capital with the modus operandi of buying subsidized diesel fuel at gas stations with various police numbers to be stockpiled and resold to Industry at a cheaper price than non-subsidized diesel," said Director of Tipidter Bareskrim Polri Brigadier General Hersadwi Rusdiyono as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 12.
The case was dismantled due to initial information from the Pertamina Team which was followed by an investigation and development of the case by the Joint Team between the National Police Headquarters, East Java Police and Pertamina.
Apart from AW, two other actors were arrested, namely BFP and S. The three of them have different roles, namely investors, financial managers and truck drivers.
Suspect AW, said Hersadwi, is a trader from Pasuruan City, while the suspect BFP works as an employee of Pasuruan residents and the third suspect S is a resident of Malang.
"TKP is in three places, first in the storage warehouse of Jalan Kom Yos Sudarso, second at the transportation company PT. MCN, Jalan Kom Yos Sudarso and in the parking lot of the tank truck on Jalan PT. MCN," he said.
From the first crime scene in the storage warehouse, the police confiscated five solar fuel tanks with a capacity of 32 thousand liters, one reservoir with a capacity of 4 thousand liters, a set of filling pipe installations and a pump engine, subsidized diesel fuel.

Then the evidence that was secured at the second TKP was a tank with a capacity of 22 thousand liters, four tanks with a capacity of 30 kilo liters, two tanks with a capacity of 16 kilo liters and confiscated 54 thousand liters of fuel. Meanwhile, at the third TKP, the police confiscated a transport tank truck, a truck without a tank body and a laptop.
"From the transport office, we confiscated one unit of solar oil hydrometer measuring equipment, one recalcitrant company document, sales PO and 2 modified trucks and number plates and 32 QR codes pertamina," he said.
From the results of the examination, the suspects admitted that they had been carrying out their actions since 2016.
"The suspect's confession was for the purchase of a diesel 1 liter for non-subsidized diesel purchases for Rp. 6,800 and sold for Rp. 9 thousand and a profit per liter of Rp. 2,200, in one month the average selling 300 thousand liters and a profit of 1 month Rp. 660 million," he said.
The suspects were charged with Article 55 of Law Number 22 of 2021 concerning oil and gas as amended by Article 40 Number 9 of Law no. 6 of 2023 concerning the stipulation of government regulations in lieu of Law in 2022 concerning job creation into Juncto Law article 54 paragraph 1 to (1) of the Criminal Code.
"With the threat of imprisonment for a maximum of 6 years and a maximum fine of Rp. 6 billion," he said.
Meanwhile, Pertamina's Executive GM Patra Niaga Jatimbalinus Dwi Puja Arestya appreciated the National Police for uncovering the case of hoarding subsidized fuel.
"Pertamina Patra Niaga as a business entity assigned to distribute subsidized fuel by the Government is trying its best in eradicating the diesel mafia, both at the level of channeling institutions and collaborating with law enforcement officials in disclosing cases," he said.
