ChatGPT Site Traffic Experiences Global Decline, Interest In Chatbot AI Decreases?
JAKARTA - Visitors to the ChatGPT site, a popular artificial intelligence (AI) assistant, experienced a global decline from May to June. This shows a decline in interest in AI aids developed by OpenAI.
According to data estimates from the analytic site of Similarweb traffic, desktop and mobile web traffic for ChatGPT decreased by 9.7% in June. In addition, the number of unique visitors to the site and the time spent by users on the site also decreased by 5.7% and 8.5%, respectively. In the United States, the monthly decline in web site traffic reached 10.3%.
Despite the decline in traffic, the ChatGPT website is still in front of Google's Bard, Microsoft's Bing, and AI's Character, another popular AI chatbot.
After this data was released, some people argue that the decline may have been caused by users of this tool being students on summer holidays, as well as the update of AI chatbots starting to fade.

On the other hand, a community member questioned the reason behind the decline, because the data did not include traffic originating from the newly released iOS ChatGPT application. According to the Twitter user, there could be "changes in how to access ChatGPT."
On May 18, OpenAI officially launched the mobile ChatGPT application for iOS. The company initially launched the app in the United States and pledged to expand its launch to other countries in the following weeks.
