Elon Musk's Jet Tracker Jack Sweeney Moves To Threads after His Account Is Frozen on Twitter
JAKARTA - The creator of an account that tracks the whereabouts of Elon Musk's private jet in real-time, Jack Sweeney, has moved to Threads, a new social media competitor to Twitter-owned by Mark Zuckerberg. It did so after his account was frozen by Twitter last year.
"ElonJet has arrived at Threads!" Sweeney wrote in his first post on Thursday, July 6 from an account under the name @elonmusksjet, which had more than 21,000 followers as of Saturday morning July 8.
ElonJet has been tracking the movements of Musk's private jet using publicly available data.

In December 2022, Twitter Inc, which is owned by Musk, suspended the ElonJet account, when the billionaire threatened legal action against the operator of the account after saying that his son was also being mistakenly followed by a "crazy stalker".
Threads owned by Meta, as a direct challenge to Twitter, gained millions of users within hours, including well-known personalities like Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, and Democratic Deputy US Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, as Threads tried to capitalize on the Twitter situation which is weak after a series of tumultuous decisions from Musk.
