PTBA Sulap Lahan Bekas Tambang Jadi Kebun Buah
JAKARTA - PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) planted 1000 ngka trees on the former 1.6 hectares of the mine.
Corporate Secretary of PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), Apollonius Andwie explained, the purpose of planting is the use of used mining land into productive land, one of which is for fruit plantations.
These fruit plantations can later become a means of tourism education.
"This activity is a tangible manifestation of the Company's commitment to supporting the government's program towards Net Zero Emission in 2060 or earlier", Apollonius said in a statement to the media, Saturday, July 7.
He added that this activity also collaborated with the Muara Enim Environmental Agency (DLH), the Muara Enim Regency Environmental Ambassador, the Bukit Asam Mining Industry Community Academy (Akipba), and partners.
"Total saat ini sudah ada lahan bekas tambang seluas 10 Hektar yang digunakan untuk kebun buah-buah. Tak hanya nangka, kebun buah buah tersebut juga ditanami durian, mango, kelengkeng, matoa, jambu air, dan avocado", beber Apollonius.
To support the Government in achieving the Net Zero Emission target in 2060 or earlier, PTBA implemented good mining practices (Good Mining Practice) with decarbonization programs.

Just so you know, until December 2022, the total reclamation area of PTBA has reached 2,151.84 hectares.
The land has been planted with 2,689,800 tree trunks.
"The operational management of PTBA related to the environment is in accordance with international standards. This is marked by the ISO 14001: 2015 certification of the Company's environmental management", concluded Apollonius.
