IMI General Chair Supports The Implementation Of Indonesian Custom Madness
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly as well as Chairman of the Indonesian Motor Association (IMI) Bambang Soesatyo (Bamsoet) supports the plan to organize the Indonesian Custom Madness (CMI) in October 2023.
CMI will provide training, coaching, and certification from Arlen Ness Motorcycle America for MSME-scale motorcycle workshops. Through this event, MSME-scale motorcycle workshops will also show their feasibility in modifying motorcycles, as a scientific application that Arlen Ness Motorcycle America has provided to them.
"Arlen Ness Motorcycle is one of the leading modificiators and makers of motorcycles in the world. Its various works have always been a trend so that it dominates various world custom motorcycle competitions. It's no wonder that it gets the nickname 'The King of Custom Motorcycle'. Presenting Arlen Ness Motorcycle in Custom Madness Indonesia is a breakthrough as well as exciting the modified motorcycle industry in Indonesia, especially those carried out by MSME-scale motorcycle workshops," said Bamsoet after receiving the Custom Madness Indonesia (CMI) committee, in Jakarta, Friday, July 7th.
The Indonesian Custom Madness Committee which was present included the Chief Executive Yudhis Soesatyo, Chairman of the Dito I. Mahardika Jaya Event, Executive Arif Fadillah and Gazali Enjin.
Bamsoet explained, through the Indonesian Custom Madness, MSME-scale motorcycle workshops will also gain knowledge about workshop management. Among other things, such as the efficiency of the work system, work planning and scheduling, coordination and control of the work system, to financial bookkeeping. So that it can further increase their potential in strengthening the automotive ecosystem in Indonesia.
"After this event, it is possible that Arlen Ness Motorcycle will open branches in Indonesia. Involving MSME-scale motorcycle workshops that have followed the Indonesian Custom Madness," explained Bamsoet.

Bamsoet added that automotive modification businesses are one of the business sectors that is able to open many jobs as well as stimulate the national economy. Given that its presence provides a large multiplier effect economy for the community, the circulation of money can reach tens to hundreds of billions of rupiah every year.
"In the United States, in one of the market research, it was found that there was a tendency for young people to no longer be active in buying vehicles. They chose to modify what was already there. Even if they wanted to buy, they chose to buy a modified vehicle. This will also happen in Indonesia. It has 64 million people aged 16-30 years, making the development of the automotive modification business very bright," concluded Bamsoet.
