The Number Of Crypto Investors In Indonesia Has Increased, Now It Has Reached 17.4 Million Individuals

JAKARTA - The growth of crypto investors is increasing all the time. As of May 2023, the latest data from the Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency (CoFTRA) noted that the number of crypto investors in Indonesia had reached 17.4 million individuals.

This number shows a monthly increase of 15,000 investors or a growth rate of 0.87 percent compared to the end of April 2023, where the number reached 17.25 million people.

Furthermore, if viewed on an annual basis, the registered crypto investor base has increased by 3.28 million people, with growth rates reaching 23.23 percent compared to May 2023, where the number is 14.12 million people.

This increase in the number of crypto investors reflects the increasingly high interest and trust in the crypto asset market among the Indonesian people.

In addition, easy access to information related to crypto assets and advances in digital technology make individuals increasingly recognize the potential of crypto assets as promising investment opportunities.

According to the Head of the Commodity Futures Trading Development and Development Bureau (PBK) CoFTRA, Tirta Karma Sanjaya, one of the drivers of crypto investment interest, not only comes from potential profits, but also blockchain which is part of the development of digital asset technology.

Although the growth trend of crypto investors can be said to be increasing and still positive, it is important to note that this growth rate tends to slow down.
