Ganjar Frees Clean Water Costs To Light The Burden Of Residents
Pengalang - As an effort to accelerate extreme poverty alleviation, Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo reviewed the assistance for the construction of a Clean Water Supply System (SPAM) in Gendoang Village, Moga District, Pemalang Regency.
The Rp371.7 million aid was allocated from the Central Java Provincial Budget for the management and development of cross-district and city SPAMs.
Ganjar explained that the SPAM of Gendoang Village was able to flow clean water of no less than 200 houses that had been relying on river water for bathing, washing and toilet purposes.
"This one tub can be used for approximately 200, even though below we can drain 70. This is the same as the village head who wants to develop the capacity of up to 200," said Ganjar at the location, Tuesday, July 4 afternoon.
The source of the spring of Gendoang Village was found and developed by the local village head. The Central Java Provincial Government fully supports the provision of clean water for residents
According to Ganjar, in addition to meeting the needs of clean water which is also one of the health supports of residents, SPAM can ease the burden on residents because they do not need to pay monthly expenses for clean water.
"If then they need good water, one of the basic needs is water. Later he doesn't need to buy, so far he has been displacing (paying for water)," said Ganjar.
"So the theory is that the expenditure must be reduced, if the government can provide clean water, at least from clean water is enough. Then if clean water can meet the needs of the family, God willing, the health side will be helped," continued Ganjar.
SPAM assistance is distributed by installing pipes that are connected to springs from reservoirs in Gendoang Village. The pipes are connected directly to residents' homes that have been fitted with water engines.
Residents only use SPAM with a tap that has also been made by the Central Java Provincial Government in each house. Ganjar hopes that SPAM assistance can meet the basic needs of residents related to poverty alleviation.
"If this can be met, one of the indicators of the basic needs of those who are in the poor category, we will slowly fix it. God willing, the poverty indicators will be completed quickly," explained Ganjar.

Furthermore, Saropah, one of the recipients of assistance whose house was visited directly by Ganjar, said that the condition of the water in his house has now become clean and can be used for more household needs.
Previously, Saropah and other residents relied on river water that was not clean.
"Alhamdulillah, all of this water has gone smoothly, clean water. Initially, the water conditions here were used to use an ordinary tube, it's not dirty, it's just not clean," said Saropah.
He admitted that the SPAM assistance reduces his monthly expenses related to clean water contributions. He also said that his body is healthier because he consumes clean water more often.
"After receiving this assistance, thank God it is healthy. Clean water can be used for drinking, for cooking, for bathing. Thank you Pak Ganjar for wanting to meet me," he said.
