Triyaningsih Challenges Junior Athletes To Break The National Record He Has Holded Since 2010

JAKARTA - The national athlete, Triyaningsih, currently holds a national record for the long-distance running number with a time of two hours 31 minutes 49 seconds. He got that record while participating in the 2010 Asian Games.

To date, no one has been able to break Triyaningsih's record. For this reason, he encouraged junior athletes to break the record for the LPS Half Marathon competition which will take place on Sunday, July 2.

"Alhamdulillah, I happen to be a national record holder. So here I really motivate young athletes to be able to break my record in the half marathon," said Triyaningsih.

According to the woman who was born on May 15, 1987, to break her record, because she used the split time method, the runners who took part in the half marathon had to record a time faster than an hour and 13 minutes.

However, the runner who had participated in the 2012 Olympics said the organizing committee gave athletes three minutes of relief to break their records.

He gave a leak that anyone who can record a time faster than the record will get a cash bonus from the organizing committee.

Triyaningsih also believes that the participants of the half marathon competition will be able to perform well, even though the competition or running event does not take place regularly.

"I was only present at this event to support my younger siblings, to be able to compete, break my record there. I think they have prepared themselves well, even though events are not sustainable like every week," said the owner of the 11 SEA Games gold medal, as reported by Antara.

As the name implies, the half marathon run is not far from the full marathon. However, Triyaningsih advised that recreational runners should not force themselves to try to participate in this event, if they are still really beginners.

"So I suggest that you don't do beginners first. Fill in the milestone (distance) first, then the half-montal event. Only for runners who are used to 10K, it's okay to try a half-montal," he said.

The LPS Half Marathon event will be held on Sunday, July 2, in Jakarta, with starting points in the Monas area and finishing at Istora Senayan. As a warm-up event, the organizing committee will also hold a Run The City event to take place in the City Forests of GBK, on Saturday, July 1.
