State Expenditure Reaches IDR 1,005 Trillion In Five Months, Equivalent To 31 Percent Of The State Budget

Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani reported that the realization of state spending until May 2023 was IDR 1,005 trillion.

According to him, this figure is equivalent to 32.8 percent of this year's APBN ceiling which plans to spend IDR 3,061.2 trillion.

"Negara spending is distributed through central government spending and also in the form of transfers to the regions (TKD)," he told the media crew through a virtual channel, Monday, June 26.

The Minister of Finance detailed that the value of central government spending until last month was IDR 714.6 trillion. This figure consists of ministry/institutional expenditures (K/L) of IDR 326.2 trillion and non-K/L expenditures of IDR 388.4 trillion.

"Meanwhile, the transfer to the regions until May 2023 is IDR 290.3 trillion," he said.

The Minister of Finance added that this state expenditure absorption grew 7.1 percent on an annual basis (year on year / yoy) from the previous Rp938.2 trillion in May 2022.

On the other hand, state revenue is known to have collected IDR 1,209.3 trillion. This result makes the APBN in a surplus position of IDR 204.3 trillion or equivalent to 0.97 percent of gross domestic product (GDP) in May 2023.

"The performance of the state budget until the end of May is still maintained positive," said Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani.
