Johnny G Plate Will Hold The Initial Session Of Corruption Cases Next Week
JAKARTA - Former Minister of Communication and Information (Menkominfo) Johnny G Plate will undergo his first trial with the agenda of reading the indictment on June 27, 2023 at the Corruption Court (Tipikor) at the Central Jakarta District Court.
"The trial (perdana) will be on June 27, 2023," said Central Jakarta District Court Public Relations official Zulkifli Atjo as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 21.
The Johnny G Plate case was given registration number No.55 / Pid Sus. / PN.Jkt.Pst / 2023.
"The trial by Fazhal Hendri as chairman of the panel of judges with member judges Rianto Adam Ponto and Sukarono," added Zulkifli.
In this case, Johnny G Plate was named a suspect in the alleged corruption case in the provision of Base Tranceiver Station (BTS) infrastructure and supporting infrastructure for Kominfo for the 2020-2022 period.
Johnny G Plate is suspected of violating Article 2 paragraph (1) and Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 as amended by Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.
The Attorney General's Office suspects that there has been a state financial loss of Rp8,032 trillion. Apart from Johnny, there are eight other people who have been named as suspects.
They are Anang Achmad Latif (AAL) as President Director of BAKTI of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Gahole Menak (GMS) as President Director of PT Mora Telematika Indonesia, Yohan Suryanto (YS) as an expert on Human Development (HUDEV) at the University of Indonesia.

Then, Account Director of Integrated Account Department of PT Huawei Tech Investment Mukti Ali (MA), Commissioner of PT Solitech Media Sinergy Irwan Hermawan (IH) and President Director of PT Basar Utama Muhammad Yusrizki who also serves as Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin).
Investigators of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the AGO have also examined 498 witnesses and dismissed 25 witnesses.
In addition, three plots of land covering an area of 11.7 hectares belonging to Johnny G Plate in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara have been confiscated.
