Asked About CMNP Yusuf Hamka's Debt, Director General Of State Assets Of The Ministry Of Finance: My Job Is Collection, Not Paying

The Director General of State Assets of the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) Rionald Silaban provided information related to the issue of debts with PT Citra Marga Nusaphala Persada Tbk (CMNP) which was commanded by businessman Jusuf Hamka.

Met at his office, Rionald revealed that he worked in accordance with applicable procedures and regulations.

According to him, in line with the main tasks of the Directorate General of State Assets, the main function of the agency is regarding debt collection to parties who have obligations to the government.

This attitude is also an affirmation if he is not mandated to answer the payment request intended by Jusuf Hamka Cs.

"My job is to withdraw my debt (debt), not make payments," he told the media crew in Jakarta on Tuesday, June 20.

Rio said that parties who have receivables from the government usually file lawsuits.

"It's beyond our function. So I don't carry out policies regarding payments," said Sri Mulyani's subordinates.

For information, businessman Jusuf Hamka collects a deposit owned at Bank Yakin Makmur (Yama) at the end of the 90s.

However, Bank Yama was frozen by the government as a follow-up to the receipt of Bank Indonesia's bailout or Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance (BLBI).

CMNP savings cannot be taken because the government considers the business entity to be still affiliated with the Yama Bank which is closed by the government.

CMNP deposits were recorded at IDR 78.84 billion for deposits and IDR 76.09 billion for demand deposits.
