Asked About The Alleged Poles Of Financial Reports, Waskita's Managing Director: Re-checked
JAKARTA - Waskita Karya is in the spotlight because of the alleged poled financial report.
The irregularities in the financial statements of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) in the work sector were revealed by Deputy Minister of BUMN II Kartika Wirjoatmodjo.
Responding to this, the President Director (Director) of PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk Mursyid Suyadi said his company's financial statements were being re-checked.
This step is a follow-up to the direction of the Ministry of SOEs.
Mursyid himself has just served as Waskita Karya's leader.
He was appointed President Director on May 25 to replace Destiawan Soewardjono who was involved in a corruption case.
"(Financial reports) are re-checked," he told reporters at the Ministry of SOEs, Jakarta, Tuesday, June 20.
Mursyid said, for Waskita Karya's new management, what is important now is to work well in the future.
"And follow according to directions from the Ministry of SOEs," he said.
Meanwhile, Waskita Karya SVP Corporate Secretary Emy Puspa Yunita said the company was following the process at the Ministry of SOEs and would continue to make transparency and strengthen the good corporate governance (GCG).
"We are asked to be consistent in implementing business transformation in the future. Especially strengthening GCG like that," said Emy.
Previously, the Ministry of SOEs smelled something was wrong in the financial statements of state-owned companies in the work sector.
This was conveyed by Deputy Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir in a meeting with Commission VI of the DPR on June 5.
