Hotman Paris Compares Aldi Taher With Ukrainian President

JAKARTA - Hotman Paris has responded to the jokes that Aldi Taher has been doing lately. Unlike many insulting people, the 63-year-old lawyer actually thinks Aldi is a smart person.

"The figure of Aldi Taher is smart, he is smart. Pinter is just because he likes to be funny. He is smart and funny who says he is stupid? He is smart. And the proof is that in terms of men he is great," said Hotman Paris in Senayan last week.

Regarding Aldi Taher's decision to run in the legislative event in 2024, said Hotman, the public should not underestimate it. He gave an example of the case where Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who is a comedian, managed to become the number one person in Ukraine.

Reflecting on the case, Hotman reminded that Aldi might follow in the footsteps of Volodymyr Zelensky. He also said that it is possible that Indonesia's future president has a joking' like Aldi.

"He is the current president who is a former comedian. So, don't be surprised later if people like Aldi Taher or Aldi Taher become president in Indonesia," he said.

The reason is, Hotman assesses that the public is tired of people who have so far held legislative and executive positions, because they are considered not to be in line with expectations. Therefore, it is possible that the figure of Aldi Taher is used as an option by the community.

"Because maybe people are bored, entering the legislature is really smart, professors, all kinds of things. But, after entering it, it doesn't benefit the people, it actually harms the people," said Hotman Paris.

"So, people are pessimistic, 'Why are you tired of looking for smart people, just look for someone who likes Aldi Taher in the legislature'. That's some of the people's comments," he concluded.
