Losing Online Gambling, Two Unemployment In Tangerang Become Robbers To Pay Loan Debt
TANGERANG Involved in cases of theft and violence, two men with the initials MR (23) and AY (30) were arrested by the Panongan Police, Tangerang Police. The Panongan police chief, Iptu Hotma, said the two perpetrators often stole items in parked vehicles.
"The two arrested perpetrators have different roles. MR is the temporary executor of AY Joki who is waiting on the motorbike," said Hotma in a written statement, Thursday, June 15.
From the results of the examination, continued Hotma, the two of them had acted seven times at different crime scenes (TKP) in the jurisdiction of the Panongan Police.
"From parked vehicles, the perpetrators took money and items such as cellphones and laptops. They used glass solvers," he said.
In addition to stealing items in parked vehicles, these perpetrators also often break into closed shops.

"The perpetrators acted at night. There were four shops that were burglarized. From the shop, they took money with a value of Rp. 10 million to Rp. 100 million," he said.
To investigators, the two perpetrators admitted to using the proceeds of the crime to cover their online debts.
"They don't have jobs and are in online loans for slot gambling. So they use the proceeds of the crime to pay off debts and gambling," he explained.
The two perpetrators were charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code concerning theft with Weighting.
"The threat is a maximum of 7 years in prison," concluded Hotma.
