Rolls-Royce Welcomes New Era By Opening Up Hydrogen Car Production Opportunities
JAKARTA - In the midst of the development of the automotive industry which is increasingly leading to electrification, Rolls-Royce, a leading luxury car manufacturer, dares to move forward by considering hydrogen fuel technology for its future models.

M\"uller-Royces also stated that if hydrogen fuel technology advances significantly, Rolls-Royce is ready to engage itself in its development. In this scenario, it is possible that the luxury car manufacturer will not rely on batteries on its models.
The Rolls-Royce boss also admits that hydrogen fuel technology has great potential in the future, especially for Rolls-Royce cars that are commonly used for short-distance travel.
Not only Rolls-Royce, several other car manufacturers are also developing alternative energy other than gasoline and electricity, namely hydrogen. Toyota and BMW are examples of manufacturers who have long developed this technology.
BMW recently showed a prototype of the iX5 SUV using hydrogen power. The prototype uses fuel cells supplied by Toyota, which is also a pioneer in the production of hydrogen-fueled cars.
Meanwhile, Toyota itself has long developed hydrogen fuel technology through their sedan model, Mirai. However, the two manufacturers also have plans to release electric car models in the future.

Meanwhile, Rolls-Royce recently entered the world of electrification through its newest sedan model, Spectre. This luxury sedan has a combination of 585 horse power and 900 Nm torque.
Not only that, Spectre is also equipped with a large capacity battery of 120 kWh which can be installed on all Rolls-Royce production models. Rolls-Royce claims that Spectre can cover a distance of up to 482 km with just one charge.
