Competing With Land Rover Defender, Lexus Introduces GX 2024 With High-Level Offroad Capabilities
JAKARTA - Along with the launch of the 2024 Lexus TX, Lexus introduced the 2024 GX, a strong SUV ready to pass through the off-road terrain.
GX 2024 features an elegant and luxurious new design that is the hallmark of the Japanese manufacturer.
"For more than two decades, GX has bridged the gap between legendary off-road capabilities and luxurious daily driving," said Dejuan Ross, vice president of the group and general manager, Lexus division, in a statement in Lexus media room, June 8.
The latest GX has a brain-splitting and tough design with the merger of body-on-frame SUVs. GX's front design was given a bold touch with a smaller grip and sharp front-LED lights. Grill opening is also slightly raised to avoid collisions.
The GX side has a rigid design with horizontal flows. 18-inch rim and 33-inch 265/70R18 tires complement the appearance of the 2024 Lexus TX.
The GX Lexus comes in six trims: Premium, Premium+, Luxury, Luxury+, Overtrail, and Overtrail+. The back of GX has a stiffer design and lights that form the letters "L" with the updated Lexus logo.
Inside GX, there is a new instrument panel that is lower and simpler. Other features include an integrated HuD display with a 14-inch multimedia touch screen, Android Auto, and a wireless Apple CarPlay. A 12.3-inch multi-information display is also available.
GX 2024 uses the GA-F platform which is also used by LX 600. With this platform, GX 2024 has maximum performance on the off-road and on-road tracks with the latest suspensions.
