Transjakarta-Transpakauan Route Connection Will Be Tested July

JAKARTA - President Director of PT Transjakarta Welfizon Yuza said the trial of connecting Transjakarta and Transpakuan routes departing from Bogor to Cibubur, East Jakarta will be carried out starting next month.

"Maybe in the near future, it is targeted that in July, the trial will be immediately (coupling the Transjakarta-Transpakan route). Later we will see what the response will be," said Welfizon at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Wednesday, June 7.

Currently, the two regional-owned enterprises (BUMD) are still preparing a business mechanism to operate the Transpakuan-Transjakarta bus route from Bogor to Jakarta.

"One of the messages is that it should not burden the company's finances or the provincial government's finances. So, what we are trying to find is a good solution," said Welfizon.

Along with that, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and the Bogor City Government are also still waiting for the issuance of an operational permit for connecting routes by the Jabodetabek Transportation Management Agency (BPTJ).

In addition, another problem that will be found a solution to the planned connection of this route is the lack of the number of Transpakuan buses that will be operated in connecting this route.

"That's what is being discussed, who will use the fleet later. If for example using a Transjakarta bus, there will be business calculations and hopefully all kinds of things," he said.

For information, the Transjakarta-Transpakauan cooperation plan was revealed in a meeting between the Mayor of Bogor Bima Arya and the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono some time ago.

From the discussion of Bima and Heru at the DKI Jakarta City Hall at that time, cooperation in the integration of the Transjakarta-Transpakan bus route is targeted to begin implementing officially in December.
