Jokowi Promises To Make Investments Easier In IKN Nusantara, Especially The Economy And Green Industry
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) promised to facilitate investment offers in the State Capital (IKN) Nusantara as best as possible. Mainly related to the economy and green industry
"We have done everything, especially regarding green energy and the green industry, we will facilitate it as well as we can, because we believe that economic success and sustainability must be done together," said President Jokowi at the 2023 Ecosperity Week in Singapore, monitored from the Presidential Secretariat's Youtube, Wednesday, June 7.
The commitment to the green economy, said Jokowi, made the Indonesian government set the first development at IKN, namely to build a nursery and botanical center in Mentawir, East Kalimantan, with a production capacity of 15 million seeds per year.
"That's why the first thing we built was a botanical center, a nursery center with a capacity of 16 million seeds per year in Rumpin and 15 million seeds per year in Mentawir," said Jokowi.
In the breakthrough-themed forum for net zero emissions, Jokowi also explained to potential investors not to worry about the incentives that will be given by the government for IKN development.
"It's easy (incentive), easy. I've also been a businessman before, so don't worry, we have prepared incentives," said Jokowi, quoted by Antara.
The Indonesian government, said the President, has prepared various fiscal incentive schemes, such as in tax holidays, non-collected Value Added Tax (PPn), super deduction tax, or import duties.

President Jokowi also emphasized Indonesia's serious commitment to developing energy transitions. Indonesia's potential for new and renewable energy (EBT) reaches 434 gigawatts from geothermal, wind, sunlight, biofuel, and hydro (water).
"Let me give an example of the potential for hydropower, we have 4,400 rivers that can be potential for hydropower, 128 of which (4,400 rivers) are large rivers. For example, the Kayan River in Kalimantan. That's a green energy source for green industrial areas in North Kalimantan," he said.
From the green energy source in Kalimantan, said the President, the government will prioritize downstream development, the solar panel industry, the electric vehicle battery industry, and the electric vehicle industry.
