Mahfud MD Suggests ATR/BPN Minister Hadi Tjahjanto Enter The Steering Committee Of The BLBI Task Force
Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD proposed the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Hadi Tjahjanto to join the Steering Committee of the Task Force for Handling State Collection Rights for the Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance Fund (BLBI Task Force).
MahfudMD, as Chairman of the Steering Committee of the BLBI Task Force, explained that the presence of the Minister of ATR/BPN in the BLBI Task Force could accelerate the process of transferring the names of lands that are BLBI assets from debtors or obligors.
"Later, please add one more official to the Steering Committee, (namely) the minister of ATR/BPN, so that the lands that have been confiscated will soon be renamed, this belongs to the state, this belongs to whom," said Mahfud MD during the handover ceremony for the assets of the former BLBI in Jakarta. reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 6.
Since serving in June 2021-May 2023, the BLBI Task Force has collected nearly 30 percent of the state money borrowed by debtors, whose value reaches IDR 30.66 trillion.
The details are Rp1.1 trillion in the form of non-tax state revenue (PNBP) money to the state treasury; confiscation and delivery of other collateral and delivery of asset guarantees of 1,784.34 hectares worth Rp14.77 trillion; and physical control of property assets covering an area of 1,862.91 hectares worth Rp9.278 trillion.
Then, handover of assets to ministries and non-ministerial government institutions (K/L) and regional governments (Pemda) covering an area of 278.6 hectares with an estimated value of Rp3.07 trillion and non-cash state capital participation (PMN) of 54 hectares worth Rp2.49 trillion.
In the handover ceremony for ex-BLBI assets at the Office of the Ministry of Finance, Jakarta, Tuesday, June 6, there were 14 K/L and three provincial governments, district governments, and city governments that received various assets from the collection of the BLBI Task Force.
Some of the assets, most of which are in the form of land, will be used by K/L and local governments as economic centers and public services. The total land provided to the K/L and local government reached 2.2 million square meters with an estimated value of IDR 1.8 trillion.
"The land carried out by PSP (determination of use status) and grants is intended as service office buildings, archival buildings, state polytechnic campuses, driving teacher hall offices, free seed stations, Bhayangkara Hospital, HR training centers (human resources), rehabilitation clinics for drug abuse, community meeting centers, parks, gardens, ponds, and garbage disposal," explained Mahfud.

The Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs explained that the land will also be used as a micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME); regional tax service center; and the West Java Creative Forest economic zone.
Therefore, he asked the K/L and local governments to immediately use these assets to prevent the seizure that could be carried out by irresponsible parties.
"I hope that the leadership of K/L and the relevant regional government can immediately process the transfer of rights to related assets to the local land office, and earlier there was a representative from the land office. Please this has become the decision of the steering team, where the minister of land also participates. To be well served in this process, namely the transfer on the basis of rights in the form of a right to use on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia cq. related ministries or on behalf of the relevant government," said MahfudMD.
