Inspector General Teddy Minahasa's 'Sin' Became The Reason For Disrespectful Dismissal By National Police
JAKARTA - Former West Sumatra Regional Police Chief Inspector General Teddy Minahasa was given a dishonorable discharge (PTDH) based on the results of the National Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) meeting.
The basic reason for the sanction was given because Teddy Minahasa ordered his men to set aside the evidence of methamphetamine and replace it with alum.
"The alleged violator has ordered AKBP DP (Dody Prawiranegara) to set aside 41.4 kilograms of methamphetamine-type narcotic evidence which was caught by the Bukitinggi Police Narcotics Unit by replacing 5 kilograms of alum," said Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the Indonesian National Police, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, to reporters, Tuesday, May 30, evening.
Then, Inspector General Teddy Minahasa's other "sin" was ordering Linda Pujiastuti alias Anita to sell the methamphetamine that had been set aside. In fact, receiving money from the sale.
"As well as ordering to hand over 5 kilograms of methamphetamine to brother LP alias AN to be sold," he said.
Inspector General Teddy Minahasa's actions were declared to have violated the rules. Moreover, the dismissal sanction is in accordance with Article 13 paragraph 1 PP Number 1 of 2003 concerning Termination of Members of the National Police juncto Article 5 paragraph 1 letter b, Article 5 paragraph 1 letter C, Article 8 letter C Number 1, Article 10 paragraph 1 letter d, Article 10 paragraph 1 letter F, Article 10 paragraph 2 letter H, Article 11 paragraph 1 letter a.
Then, Article 13 Letter e of police regulation Number 7 of 2022 concerning the professional code of ethics and the Police Code of Ethics Commission.
