Symptoms Of Acne That Need Medical Treatment, What Are The Signs?
JAKARTA - Aesthetic and anti-aging expert dr. Cynthia Jayanto M. Biomed (AAM) shared signs of acne that needed medical treatment at the clinic, including acne that felt sick and swollen.
"Beauty doctors and anti-aging have tools and medicines that adjust the skin type of patients so that they are effective in treating acne," Cynthia said as quoted by ANTARA.
Cynthia, who is a member of the Indonesian Association of Aesthetic Doctors, assesses that a person also needs to go to a clinic if acne is reddish and interferes with daily activities. Usually doctors will recommend facial care, laser and chemical peeling (face care with chemical fluids) to treat acne.
The facial care action taken to treat acne can be in the form of a natural red carpet, namely a health care and ending with a laser; a pico laser to reduce wrinkles and get rid of acne; and a toning cure laser to treat and remove acne scars. Doctors can also prescribe oral drugs with certain needs for patients rather than acne drugs that are sold freely.
Acne as broadcast by the Mayo Clinic is a skin condition that occurs when hair follicles are blocked by oil and dead skin cells. Depending on the severity, acne can cause emotional stress and leave scars on the skin. For most women, acne can last even for decades, with the appearance of acne a week before menstruation.
This type of acne tends to disappear without treatment in women who use contraceptives. In older adults, the sudden onset of severe acne may indicate an underlying disease so that it requires medical attention. The United States POM Agency (FDA) warns that some acne lotion, facial cleansing, and other skin care products that are not prescribed can cause serious reactions.

However, such type of reaction is very rare so people don't have to worry about redness, irritation, or itching that occurs at the location using drugs or products. If self-care treatment does not relieve acne, then someone is advised to consult a doctor for treatment. Also, it's best to seek medical help if after using skin products experiencing difficulty breathing and swelling of the eyes, face, lips or tongue.
