Supporting Supply Chain, Meratus Opens Container Logistics Center At KBN Cakung
JAKARTA - One of the Logistics and Maritime Integrators, Meratus, officially opened the Container Logistics Center (CLC) in the Cakung KBN industrial area, today.
Meratus CEO Farid Belbouab said, CLC with a land area of up to 3.3 Ha in this early stage will specifically serve the needs of Main Line Operator (MLO) logistics containers in carrying out export and import activities using various CLC facilities.
In addition to export-import needs, Meratus CLC KBN Cakung also provides comprehensive solutions ranging from standard container management, to loading and unloading activities, Refeer Plug, Repair Container, Washing Container, Reposition, and Container Storage in one location.
With a prime customer experience, the Cakung KBN Meratus CLC has also been equipped with an auto-gate system to accelerate administrative flow and tracking that is easily accessible from every logistics activity in the CLC area.
"We believe that by integrating these two modes of transportation, we can provide more efficient and cost-effective solutions to our customers. We will continue to show our commitment to always provide customer-centric-based services," Farid said when giving a speech at the Opening of CLC Meratus at KBN Cakung, Jakarta, on Thursday, May 25.
Farid added, the Cakung KBN Meratus CLC has implemented high security standards for all elements who carry out activities in depots for safety. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be used when entering the depot first.
Meanwhile, customers are provided with a comfortable lounge and a short administrative process to cut their time to make it more effective. Smoking areas are also provided separately, as well as cleanliness in the CLC environment which is very concerned.
Furthermore, said Farid, Meratus Group has allocated more than US$20 million in investment in logistics infrastructure to launch CLC Meratus in various major cities on the island of Java.
"The expansion of the land logistics network to the areas of Sulawesi, Kalimantan, and Nusa Tenggara is very important for the economy because the Meratus Group has a mission to improve logistics and maritime connectivity as maritime operators in Indonesia," he concluded.
