Former Chairperson Of The Gorontalo City DPRD Becomes A Suspect In A Drug Case
GORONTALO - Former Chairman of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of Gorontalo City, Gorontalo with the initials RT has been named a suspect in drug possession by the Gorontalo Police.
Gorontalo Police Chief Inspector General Angesta Romano Yoyol said RT was one of three suspects in drug possession. The police confiscated evidence of three small packages of drugs and several used plastics.
"Today we have named a suspect and yes, please ask the person concerned. For us whoever commits a criminal act, we will do it properly and invite the applicable law," said the Kapolda as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 23.
The Regional Police Chief has not clearly explained the chronology of the arrest of RT along with the other two suspects. However, the Kapolda emphasized that anyone who commits a violation will be punished with the applicable law.
Meanwhile, the suspect RT at the press conference admitted that he was only a victim in the case.
"I'm just a victim, sir," he said.

Harson Antu, the attorney for the suspect RT, explained that his client was a victim and was only offered drugs by other suspects.
"He doesn't know anything. He admitted that he didn't know anything, that was what was conveyed to us yesterday. He was only offered goods, we don't know if the item was bought or not," he explained.
