Bill Gates: The Race to Develop AI Will Disturb Search Engines and Online Shopping Sites
JAKARTA - Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft Corp., said on Monday, May 22 that the current technology race to be won is the development of the best artificial intelligence (AI) agents, ready to disrupt search engines, productivity and online shopping sites.
"You will never go to search sites again. You will never go to Amazon again," Gates said.
In his speech at the AI Forward 2023 event, an event in San Francisco hosted by Goldman Sachs Group Inc and SV Angel, Gates said he would be disappointed if Microsoft were not in competition, even though there is a 50% chance that the top players to emerge will be startups.
