Ganjar Pranowo Kenang The Figure Of Taufik Kiemas In Front Of The South Sumatra PDIP Cadre
The figure of Taufik Kiemas immediately flashed into Ganjar Pranowo's mind when giving encouragement to thousands of South Sumatra PDIP cadres at the Jakabaring Palembang Dempo GOR, Saturday, May 20.
For Ganjar, Megawati Soekarnoputri's husband, who is the son of the South Sumatra region, is the most instrumental figure behind her success in the world of national politics. "When I went to South Sumatra, I always remember the late Mas Taufik Kiemas. He is one of the best sons of South Sumatra I have ever met," said Ganjar.
Ganjar Pranowo said that Taufik Kiemas was a political teacher since he decided to join the PDIP. He recalled that Taufik was a tough teacher, but always taught important lessons.
"Every time I meet Mas Taufik Kiemas, I am being scolded. To the extent that these friends forbade me to meet Mas Taufik. For fear I was scolded," he recalled.
However, he did not heed the advice of his friends. He knows, Taufik Kiemas is not just angry, but also teaches about the importance of having a winning mentality.
"I understand very well, behind Mas Taufik's anger, he is actually galvanizing my mentality. Am I CAUGHt or brave," he added.
This was proven when he won the battle in the 2013 Central Java Pilkada. At that time, his name was not as popular as it is today. The popularity is only 7 percent and the electability is only 3 percent.
While his opponent was Bibit Waluyo, an incumbent who was also a two-star general. However, with the enthusiasm and support of all parties, including Puan Maharani who became her warlord, Ganjar managed to win the fight.
"And when I won, Mas Taufik immediately hugged me. He announced it to reporters, he said this. Friends, Ganjar is the underdog, but he can win the fight. Then I took a photo with him accompanied by Mbak Puan. I have installed the three photos at home until now as a witness. my process was trained in PDIP," he explained.
