Toyota BZ4x Enters Malaysia Market Soon
The Toyota bZ4x electric SUV has been officially sold in Indonesia since the end of last year. Toyota bZ4x is also the first Toyota electric car to be marketed in Indonesia. However, the neighboring country market will only welcome the electric vehicle this year.
UMW Toyota Motor, as a distributor of Toyota for Malaysia, recently tested a bZ4x model on the highway ahead of the official launch. The signal that the Toyota bZ4x will be released in the near future is that the Malaysian government is preparing 4,000 EV charging points.
Quoted from Paultan, Jum'at, May 12, the launch in neighboring countries is a multi-path strategy planned by UMWT in supporting Malaysia's program to become a carbon-free country in 2050.
The two electric vehicles are displayed at the UMWT office in Shah Alam, Malaysia. The electric crossover offers a front-wheel drive system in collaboration with the 201 dk engine and 266 Nm torque.
This impressive performance is coupled with a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 71.4 kWh which is able to make this car go 500 km in WLTP count.
This SUV supports AC charging of up to 6.6 kW and DC fast charging of up to 150 kW. In fact, bZ4x has fast charging from 0 to 80 percent in 30 minutes.
