JAKARTA - Entrepreneur Mahendra Dito Sampurno alias Dito Mahendra is now a fugitive from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police. Because, his name is officially on the wanted list (DPO).
"It has been issued (DPO status Dito Mahendra, ed)," said Director of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri Brigadier General Djuhandani Rahardjo Puro when confirmed, Tuesday, May 9.
The suspect in the alleged illegal possession of firearms (senpi) has officially become a fugitive based on the Wanted List for Persons Number DPO/8/5/Res.1.17/2023 Tipidum on behalf of Mahendra Dito Sampurna.
Based on the issuance of the DPO, all ranks of the National Police in the territory of Indonesia will look for the whereabouts of Dito.
However, for now there is no bright spot regarding its whereabouts. The team from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police is still looking for clues about this matter.
"This is being sought by members," said Djuhandani.
Dito Mahendra is considered not to have good intentions to deal with cases of alleged illegal possession of firearms. This is because he has never fulfilled the examination, both at the investigation and investigation stage.
"Brother Dito to this day does not have ethics either to fulfill the invitation during the investigation or summon investigators as witnesses twice or to summon suspects," said Djuhandhani.
During the investigation process, Dito Mahendra did not fulfill the summons for examination as a witness twice. Even after being a suspect.
In fact, on the previous occasion, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police had issued the name Dito Mahendra as a fugitive if he was not present at the examination today.
Currently, Dito Mahendra is a suspect in the case of ownership of 9 illegal rifles. Because, an official ownership permit was found.
