Actively Support The Implementation Of QR Cross Border, DANA Now Can Be Used In Malaysia
JAKARTA - Continuing the success of interconnecting payments between countries using a QR Code carried out by Bank Indonesia with several countries in ASEAN, DANA again supports the implementation of the QR cross-border code payment, both as issuers and as carriers.
After Thailand, now Indonesians who travel to Malaysia can also scan the QR Cross Border or DuitNow QR Code in stores participating in this scheme through the DANA application. Likewise, Malaysian tourists can make payments at QRIS DANA merchants through their applications if they are in Indonesia.
This launch is a follow-up to the test phase that has been successfully carried out since January 27, 2022. This collaboration between Bank Indonesia and Bank Negara Malaysia allows people in both regions to make retail payments using the QR Code for national payments in Indonesia, namely QRIS (QR Code Indonesian Standard) and QR Code for Malaysian Payments, namely DuitNow, both at offline and online merchants.
"It is an honor for DANA to continue to be trusted as the first digital wallet to implement a QR Cross Border in Malaysia," said Vince Iswara, CEO & Co-Founder of DANA in a statement received on Tuesday, May 9.

"Hopefully, the participation of DANA in the implementation of QR Cross Border can contribute to increasing financial inclusion and literacy in accordance with the Blueprint direction of the 2025 Indonesian Payment System from Bank Indonesia," added Vince.
In addition to implementing QR Cross Border, DANA's participation in encouraging QRIS adoption in Indonesia is still being carried out with various efforts. This is done both through ease of onboarding partners and maintaining the security of digital transaction payments.
DANA has now been trusted by more than 24.9 million merchants who are members of the national QRIS network, including 500,000 MSME business partners who use QRIS as payment methods.
