Police Evacuate Bangkai Bus Group Gontor Islamic Boarding School From The Bottom Of The Toboli Parimo Abyss
PARIGI - The Parigi Moutong Resort Police (Polres) (Parimo), Central Sulawesi managed to evacuate the bus carcass from the bottom of the ravine as a series of investigations into the single accident incident at kilometer 4 of the Toboli Kebunkopi route.
"The evacuation using heavy equipment, and today managed to be lifted from the bottom of the ravine," said Parigi Moutong Police Chief AKBP Yudy Arto Wiyono as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, May 6.
He explained that the evacuation process had been going on since Friday (5/5), but because the equipment was used was inadequate, the process was stopped and continued today.
The evacuation process involved 10 personnel from the Traffic Traffic Unit of the Parigi Moutong Police, assisted by three heavy equipment technicians, lifting the bus's body onto the road.
"Heavy equipment for the evacuation was prepared by the autobus company (PO), and the evaluation process went smoothly. After being evacuated, the bus carcass was taken to the Parigi Moutong Police Station," he said.
The bus carcass will be evidence in the investigation into this accident case which is being handled by the local police.
The victim, who suffered serious injuries and minor injuries as a result of the accident, is still undergoing treatment at the Anundaloko Parigi Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in the capital district of Parigi Moutong.

Until now, he said, the police had not examined the driver who was driving the bus of a group of lecturers at the Gontor Ponorogo Islamic Boarding School, East Java at the time of the accident.
Because, the driver is still undergoing intensive care at the Anentaloko Parigi Hospital.
"After his condition recovered (the driver), an examination was carried out, as part of an investigation into this incident," said Yudy.
