Government Extends Repayment Of Hajj Fees Until May 12
JAKARTA - Director of Domestic Hajj Services of the Ministry of Religion Saiful Mujab said the payment of the Hajj fee of 1444 Hijri/2023 AD was extended until May 12, 2023. "The payment stage has been extended until May 12, 2023," said Saiful Mujab at Kertajati Airport, Majalengka, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, May 5. Biph Pelunasan 1444 Hijri has been open since April 11, 2023. This settlement was closed on April 18, 2023 in line with the joint leave of Eid Al-Fitr. After the Eid holiday, the completion was reopened from April 26 to May 5, 2023.
However, he said, to this day only 188,964 prospective hajj candidates have paid off and there are still 14,356 people who have not paid their Hajj fees.
"Including 264 Regional Hajj Officers and 279 Guidelines for the Guidance Group for Hajj and Umrah or KBIHU who have not paid their respects," he said.
He encouraged the congregation to be able to take advantage of this extension of time in order to immediately pay the hajj costs. "There is still enough time, God willing, the hajj quota will be optimally absorbed," he said. The first batch of prospective pilgrims is scheduled to start entering the embarkation hajj dormitory on May 23, 2023. Congregants of Indonesian Hajj candidates will gradually be flown to Saudi Arabia starting May 24, 2023. "The departure of the pilgrims is less than a month. I hope the pilgrims will continue to maintain health," he said.
