Reveals The Motive For The 'The Shooter' Mustopa Of The MUI Office, 19 People Including The Family Are Examined By The Police

Polda Metro Jaya said it had examined 19 witnesses in a series of investigations into the shooting case carried out by Mustopa at the Indonesian Ulema Council Office. Dozens of witnesses include the families of the perpetrators.

"So far, investigators have examined 19 witnesses," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko to reporters, Thursday, May 4.

For the Mustopa family who were examined as witnesses, there were four people. However, their identities were not detailed.

Then, there were 8 witnesses from MUI. They include security to MUI staff.

"Witnesses from the MUI. We have examined 8 people. Meanwhile, there are 4 witnesses from this family," he said.

While the rest are witnesses from the previous case. Mustopa is known to have been involved in the vandalism case of the Lampung Provincial DPRD Office in 2016.

"The witness's reference at Lampung is in the previous case," said Trunoyudo.

For information, Mustopa carried out a shooting at the MUI office, Menteng, Central Jakarta on Tuesday, May 2 at around 10.30 WIB.

Referring to the letter found, the shooting was allegedly because Mustopa felt disappointed. Because, his wish for justice cannot be achieved.

However, Mustopa died after carrying out the shooting. The cause is unknown.
