Fisker Also Develops Electric Car Battery Exchange System In 2024

JAKARTA - Fisker has announced a new partnership with Ample, a battery exchange technology provider, to present Fisker EV.

This move is an important part of Fisker's long-term strategy to scale up and adopt electric vehicles in the United States and Europe.

The company intends to bring the first Fisker Ocean SUV to the market with a battery that can be exchanged in the first quarter of 2024.

Perhaps many do not know this new manufacturer, Fisker Inc. is an American automotive company founded by Henrik Fisker and his wifeung Gupta-Fisker. Launched in 2016 and based in Manhattan Beach, California.

Well, one of its products, the newly launched Fisker Ocean, has successfully stolen the show because it is the electric SUV with the furthest distance at this time. The official WLTP Fisker Ocean test was able to reach 708 km with one charge.

With this additional cooperation, Fisker electric cars can exchange batteries at several mini outlets as well as gas stations. It is hoped that this technology can exchange batteries briefly.

"We are excited to offer an innovative Ample battery replacement system, which will bring new level of affordability to Fisker Ocean and potentially to other vehicles we want to bring to market in the future," said Fisker Inc. Chairman in his official statement.

The two companies will share costs in terms of building the battery exchange facility. Fisker said that the drivers are high-distance and will match the Ocean model.

Previously, an electric car manufacturer from China, NIO, had made the innovation. They have changed 20 million batteries at several of their substitution stations in China and Europe.

However, NIO failed to implement this approach for US territory. Meanwhile, Fisker wants to do this innovation in Uncle Sam's country
