COVID-19 Update As Of April 12: 987 New Cases, Active Cases Increase To 7,457
JAKARTA - The COVID-19 Handling Task Force released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 18,479 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 987 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,753,593 people and active cases have increased to 7,457 cases," said COVID-19 Task Force data, Wednesday, April 12.
Today's recovered cases increased by 346 people, bringing the total to 6,585,054 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 11 cases and a total of 161,082 people.
The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 475 cases and a total of 1,549,699 cases. Followed by West Java which has 183 new cases with a total of 1,240,239 cases. East Java has 121 new cases and a total of 639,841 cases. Banten has 86 new cases and a total of 368,057 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 90 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an additional 70 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 54 recovered cases, and DI Yogyakarta with an additional 44 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that had been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigen reached 116,119,641.
"Positive results per number of people examined or this week's positivity rate of 4.68 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 1,429 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
