Karaoke Nightlife Places in Kudus Under raids, Data Song Guides
KUDUS - The Kudus Resort Police, Central Java, are still finding karaoke businesses that are determined to operate during the fasting month of Ramadan, even though local regulations clearly prohibit it.
"We regret that when Muslims are solemnly praying during the fasting month, it turns out that there are still karaoke businesses that are desperate to operate", said Head of Samapta AKP Ngatmin, reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, April 12.
The karaoke place that was raided was in Jati District, Kudus Regency.
From the results of the control, it was discovered that there were seven karaoke guides and five bottles of various brands of liquor at the location.
The officers also recorded the karaoke guides, including a number of various brands of liquor for safekeeping as evidence.
He asked the owners of nightclubs to close in order to maintain security and order and respect Muslims who observe the fast of Ramadan.
"If there are reports, there are complaints that karaoke cafes are still determined to operate in the month of Ramadan, please inform them via call center 110 or the Pak report service 0822-8500-1100 to be followed up with control and closure", he said.

During the fasting month, the Kudus Police continue to carry out raids which are an enhanced routine activity (KRYD) and target all forms of disturbance of public order and criminal acts, one of which is a karaoke place.
Based on Regional Regulation Number 10/2015 concerning Discotheques, Night Clubs, Pubs, and Karaoke Entertainment Arrangements, it is clear that the existence of karaoke entertainment venues is prohibited. In Chapter II, article 2, it is explained that individuals or entities are prohibited from engaging in entertainment business activities at discotheques, nightclubs, pubs, and karaoke businesses in the Kudus area.
Threats for violating the provisions of article 2, are punishable by imprisonment for a maximum of three months or a fine of up to IDR 50 million.
