Hutama Karya: South Bakauheni Toll Gate Becomes The Main Point Of Handling Homecoming
JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (HK) said that the South Bakauheni Toll Gate (GT) is the main point in handling the homecoming and return flow of Lebaran 1444 Hijri on the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS).
"Why is it in South Bakauheni GT, because it is the point of direction for homecoming to travel in JTTS. If the backflow is the end point for Java Island," said Operations III Director HK Koentjoro, in Lampung, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, April 5.
He emphasized that Bakauheni is the main point for HK to make preparations for this year's Eid homecoming and homecoming flow.
"But we also don't forget that there are toll roads in Palembang, Pekanbaru to Medan and Aceh that will still be controlled in this homecoming, so that it can provide comfort for motorists who go through JTTS," he said again.
He also predicts that in this year's homecoming flow the volume of vehicles (VLL) crossing JTTS is 2,878,203, an increase of about 35 percent compared to VLL on normal days.
"This figure is the accumulation of traffic volume from the total sections managed by Hutama Karya at JTTS, large and large numbers, but still has to be handled," he said.

At the main point of supervision, namely at South Bakauheni GT, HK will prepare six toll gates and increase the mobile reader for tapping to make it faster to enter JTTS, so that it is hoped that it can minimize buildup at toll gates.
"To anticipate the problem of the driver's balance running out, later there will be a welcome to refill the balance that will come to every driver whose balance has run out. Then also we will have an increase in education related to toll balances. In fact, the more years the better it is about the problem with this balance, at the beginning the balance was lacking, so the problem is that there is a traffic jam at the toll gate, now it has decreased," he said again.
