The Southwest Papua Provincial Government Will Bring Honorary Teacher Problems Not Yet Paid To The Central Government
SORONG - Provincial Government (Pemprov) of Southwest Papua seeks to resolve the problem of paying arrears to salaries of honorary teachers with a work agreement or PPPK by coordinating with the Central Government. Acting Regional Secretary of Southwest Papua Edison Siagian said that the provincial government would convey the issue of paying PPPK teachers to the central government. "This afternoon I will also convey to Jakarta, especially my friends who take care of this," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, April 4. In addition to communicating with the central government, the Provincial Government of Southwest Papua is coordinating with all regents in its region to fulfill the rights of PPPK teachers. "Earlier we have spoken with all regents and they are willing to accommodate PPPK teachers," he said. He stated that the issue of paying PPPK teachers' salaries occurred because the administrative affairs of the transfer of PPPK teachers to Southwest Papua Province were not completely completed during the transition period. "However, in essence, the government will pay, because the right of PPPK teachers to PNS teachers is the same," he said.
