Perpetrators of Sleman Mutilation Entangled in IDR 8 Million in Loan Debt, Victims Killed and Confiscated
SLEMAN - Director of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the DIY Regional Police Kombes Pol Nuredy Irwansyah Putra said the motive for HP (23), the suspect in the murder accompanied by the mutilation of a woman in Sleman Regency, Saturday, March 18, was because he wanted to control the victim's assets to pay debts for online loan applications.
"To control the victim's property because the suspect was in debt 'online' or borrowed from three applications worth IDR 8 million, so the person concerned was looking for a way to pay off the debt by getting money quickly by committing murder", said Nuredy, quoting Antara, Wednesday, March 22.
Meanwhile, the reason for mutilating or cutting off the victim's body parts, he said, was an attempt by the suspect to erase the traces of his crime.
"The victim's body parts will be disposed of in a 'septic tank' or toilet, while the bones will be taken using a backpack that has been prepared. We found a backpack at the crime scene to dispose of the body parts", he said.
However, continued Nuredy, the suspect HP discouraged him from disposing of the mutilated body parts of the victim.
After a while having gone out to eat at the shop, HP decided not to continue what he was doing and chose to run away with the victim's belongings.
