Denny Siregar's Striking Criticsm On AHY After Speech Of Commoners: Gus Agus, Have You Ever Eaten Indomie For A Week?
JAKARTA - Social media activist Denny Siregar satirized Democratic Party General Chair Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) who passionately criticized the government.
According to Denny, AHY doesn't need to sell the "commoners" narrative because it has never been a part of them.
"Gus Agus... Agus, have you and your family only eaten Indomie for a week because you don't have money to buy food? If you haven't, don't sell the poor people because you've never been part of them," Denny quipped via his Twitter account, @Dennysiregar7 quoted by VOI, Wednesday, March 15.
Previously, the General Chairperson of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) conveyed three things in his political speech at the Senayan indoor tennis court, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, March 14.
AHY mostly expressed his criticism of the people's economic conditions and President Joko Widodo's programs. Such as the food estate program to the Job Creation Law.
AHY also alluded to the government's policies which were deemed not pro-poor to the tax issue.
"The problem is, not only because of the global crisis. Our economic problems are getting more complicated because state finances are not managed properly. Too much of the budget is used to finance lighthouse projects, which do not have much impact on the lives of the poor people, not much impact on the brothers and sisters. we are poor and can't afford it," said AHY in his political speech at the Tennis Indoor Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, March 14.

Regarding political issues, AHY discussed the decision of the Central Jakarta District Court which asked for the election stages to be stopped in connection with the discourse on extending the presidential term. As well as, the issue of lawsuits for an open proportional election system was also discussed at the Constitutional Court.
