A Granny Killed By Crocodile While Trying To Save Her Dog
JAKARTA - An 85-year-old woman struggles to save her dog from being attacked by a crocodile. But sadly, this grandmother even became a victim and died.
This incident occurred in Fort Pierce, Florida. At that time the victim was walking her dog.
Local media reported that the 3-meter-long crocodile first attacked the woman's dog, as quoted by the BBC, Tuesday 21 February.
But this crocodile turned around to chase the grandmother while trying to save the pet. The crocodile emerged from the water and lunged at the dog. She tried to keep the dog away from the reptile but somehow fell victim to the alligator.
The woman's dog survived the attack.
"The victim has been found and contracted nuisance crocodile trappers have apprehended the crocodile involved in the incident," the FWC said in a statement.
Alligator attacks — especially those resulting in death — are rare according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC).
