Komnas Perempuan commissioner Theresia Iswarini admitted that she had received a report from the victim regarding the abuse case.
"The victim had submitted a report to KP (Komnas Perempuan) on December 27, 2022, but did not continue the report. But now the victim is being abused again and is being followed up. I'm still checking how things are progressing now," Theresia said to VOI, Monday, February 20.
Theresia admitted that her party had not taken any action yet regarding the case. Because she wants to listen directly to the chronology of events.
“We have to make sure all information is collected, yes, analyze it. And later of course it will be based on the needs of the victims for the next steps," she said.

Previously, a Pelita Harapan University (UPH) student with the initials AS explained her reason for making a police report regarding the persecution she experienced in February, even though it happened last year.
AS reported her ex-boyfriend, BJK, to the South Tangerang Police on suspicion of abuse and threats. The report was done on February 15, 2023.
"The first report was in November, I didn't continue the report in December, because he asked forgiveness," AS said in a live Instagram seen by VOI, Sunday.
"Yes, in January I continued, with the campus, so it was like we were quiet... 'we are fine', but I reported it. Otherwise, I would be beaten again if he didn't get caught. After February, the report was only followed up by the South Tangerang Police," she continued.
AS hopes that the case she is experiencing can be processed by the police until BJK is named a suspect. The goal is that there should be no more victims like her.
“Hopefully the perpetrator is caught, and become a suspect. Yes, that's all. (The problem is) so tragic, if it's just me, it's okay, I've been beaten since June. But it turns out that there are so many victims. There are eight people DM me. Starting from a mature woman, his junior at school, to his colleagues, those I don't know," he explained.
Follow Up by Police
South Tangerang Police Public Relations Head, Ipda Galih confirmed that his party had received the report.
"That it is true that we, from the South Tangerang Police, on February 15, 2023, received a police report from the US which reported an alleged act of persecution," said Galih in his statement.
Galih also explained that regarding the persecution that was experienced by AS, it occurred on November 25, 2022. Currently, the case is under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Tangerang Police.
"For this case, the South Tangerang Police Criminal Investigation Unit is still investigating," he concluded.
