Polygon MATIC Will Make Transactions Faster with Low Transaction Fees
JAKARTA - Polygon (MATIC), a leading Ethereum scaling project, will release its new Layer-2 scaling solution, zkEVM, on March 27th. zkEVM is a zero-knowledge or ZK-Rollup that performs off-chain computations on the secondary layer.
Their use allows for faster and cheaper transactions while maintaining security. One of the advantages of zkEVM is the fact that users can expect the network to support the same code as Ethereum.
This allows developers to import applications from Ethereum and deploy them on Polygon's zkEVM network without the need for major customization. The ZK rollup uses "evidence" to show that a transaction wasn't faked by simply releasing a piece of information about the transaction.
In October, Polygon launched the zkEVM testnet which uses EVM for ZK rollups. This testnet allows Ethereum developers to transfer their smart contracts from the main blockchain to the ZK rollup without having to rewrite them in a different programming language.

According to official data, more than 75,000 ZK tokens have been generated since the live testnet was launched, and around 5,000 smart contracts have been put into operation. It is hoped that the launch of zkEVM in the mainnet phase will make it easier for developers to build and integrate applications on the Polygon network.
Thus, it is hoped that zkEVM will further strengthen Polygon's position as an innovative and reliable scaling project on the Ethereum network. Polygon Labs will provide more information about the Mainnet Beta in the coming weeks.
This leading Ethereum scaling project puts security first and underwent a series of rigorous audits before launch. Users and developers can expect full transparency about the security measures that will be implemented during the Mainnet Beta phase.
The price of MATIC is currently trading at IDR 8,860 with a 5.1 per cent increase over the last 24 hours according to Coingecko data. Meanwhile, Coingape data predict this rise is expected to continue ahead of the launch.
