Defeating Taiwanese Representatives in Two sStraight Games, Leo/Daniel Won Thailand Masters 2023
JAKARTA - Good news came from Indonesia's men's doubles at the Thailand Masters 2023. Facing Taiwan's representatives, Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin managed to come out as champions.
In the final match that took place at the Nimibutr Arena, Bangkok on Sunday, February 5, Leo/Daniel won through two games in 41 minutes. The two of them defeated Su Ching Heng/Ye Ho Wei with a final score of 21-16, 21-17.
This decisive match was running tight from the start of the first game. Even though they were behind by two points, the fourth seed was able to catch up with a score of 5-4.
But the advantage did not last long because Su/Ye was able to return to excel. After that the hunt for points continued to be tight and one good ball placement allowed Su/Ye to win 11-10 over Leo/Daniel in the first game interval.
After the break, Su/Ye again won 13-11 over Leo/Daniel. This situation made Leo/Daniel struggle to win four consecutive points to win 16-14. This advantage was maintained by Leo/Daniel and made it difficult for Su/Ye to finally make the Indonesian representative win 21-16 in the first game.

In the second game, Leo/Daniel tried to maintain their advantage, but a mistake left them 1-4 behind Su/Ye. The match then went tough because the score was tied at 9-9.
After that, Su/Ye was able to snatch the next two points to lead 11-9 during the second game interval. Leo/Daniel was able to quickly get up to take a 13-12 lead after the interval and maintain a superior distance over Su/Ye at 19-17.
The next two points were secured by Leo/Daniel for a 21-17 victory over Su/Ye in the second game which lasted 41 minutes.
