Distribute Social Assistance for 12 Full Months, Sri Mulyani Praises Regional Governments throughout Madura Raya
JAKARTA - The Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani, expressed her appreciation to all local governments in Madura Raya who have played an active role in assisting the central government's program in distributing social assistance (Bansos) to the community.
According to the Minister of Finance, the local government in the eastern region of the island of Java will provide social assistance for 12 consecutive months throughout 2022.
This then has a positive impact on the realization of budget absorption by the set targets.
"Madura is among those who are active in extraordinarily using village funds. Communities in villages receive assistance for 12 full months so that the realization of social assistance funds in Madura can be above the national (average)", she said during a working visit to Sumenep, Thursday, February 2.
Sri Mulyani explained, in 2022 the total transfers to the regions (TKD) for the Se-Madura Raya area will be IDR 7.04 trillion. Of this figure, around IDR 1.07 trillion is village funds.

Meanwhile, last year the ceiling for direct cash assistance (BLT) originated from village funds IDR 430.5 billion. In comparison, the realized value of BLT penetrated IDR 438.8 billion or the equivalent of 101.9 per cent of the budgeted ceiling.
"Thank you for helping the people through the State Budget", said Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani.
For information, the total budget for transfers to the regions for Madura Raya for the 2023 period is IDR 6.89 trillion.
This ceiling is lower than in 2022 due to the withdrawal of several fiscal incentives in line with the current stronger economic recovery.
