Governor Of North Kalimantan: Tanjung Selor Independent City Development Begins This Year

TARAKAN - Governor of North Kalimantan Zainal Arifin Paliwang said the construction of the Independent New City (KBM) in Tanjung Selor starts this year.

"This year, the North Kalimantan Provincial Government has poured out a budget of IDR 40 billion as the first stage of the KBM construction," Zainal said while visiting the KBM construction site in Tanjung Selor, Bulungan, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, January 27.

In that review, Zainal wanted to ensure that the construction of the KBM would have been carefully prepared.

The Governor said that in his projections, a number of regional facilities will be built for the KBM in the future so that it can support development in the area around the KBM.

"From the spatial planning, later we will open a Sports Center, the Attorney's Office, Traditional and Religious Centers as well as the official houses of the Governor and Deputy Governor of Kaltara," he said.

The first stage will be building the official houses of the Governor and Deputy Governor and their surroundings.

"Why does it have to be this year, because this will be a form of our enthusiasm to rise after the Covid-19 pandemic," said Zainal.

The Provincial Government of Kaltara has received a land certificate for the Tanjung Selor KBM Central Government Area from the Bulungan Regency National Land Agency (BPN). The existence of this certificate proves that legally and juridically the land acquisition process has been completed.

The certificates received were the results of land acquisition for the KBM phase two in 2018 which were divided into three land parcels so that three land certificates were issued.

The development of the Tanjung Selor KBM is contained in the RI Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 9 of 2019 concerning the Acceleration of the Tanjung Selor KBM Development.
