83 Aftershocks Occurred After The M 7.1 Earthquake Shook Melonguane , North Sulawesi
JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) revealed that 83 aftershocks occurred after the main earthquake of magnitude (M) 7.1 rocked the Maluku Sea.
"A total of 83 aftershocks after the magnitude 7.1 earthquake in the Maluku Sea", wrote the Head of the BMKG Earthquake and Tsunami Center, Daryono via his Twitter account, @DaryonoBMKG, Friday 20 January.

The main earthquake with a depth of 71 km was felt (MMI scale) III Minahasa, III Manado, III North Minahasa, III Bitung, III Ternate, III Sofifi, III East Halmahera, III - IV Talaud.
The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) reported that the M 7.1 earthquake in Meloguane damaged six houses in Morotai, North Maluku.
“Two houses were damaged in Sabatai Tua Village, South Morotai District; and four damaged houses in West Sangowo Village, East Morotai District, Morotai Regency", said BNPB Acting Head of Disaster Data, Information, and Communication Center Abdul Muhari in a written statement, Thursday 18 January.
