A Week After ETLE Was Enforced, 213 Drivers In Tangerang City Violated Traffic
TANGERANG - As many as 213 drivers were caught on camera of the Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) on Daan Mogot Street KM 27, Tangerang City. Head of the Traffic Unit of the Tangerang Metro Police, Kompol Joko Sembodo, said that hundreds of violators had been sent ticket letters to their respective addresses.
"During this week there were 213 violators, both four-and two-wheeled drivers," said Joko when confirmed, Wednesday, January 18.
Joko explained that out of the hundreds of violators, four-wheeled drivers dominated them. They usually do not use safety belts or seat belts.
"Drivers do not use seat belts as much as 60.8 percent, do not use helmets 37.08 percent, and use a telephone while driving 2.34 percent," he explained.

On this occasion, Joko asked the offenders who had received a ticket, to verify it at the ETLE Command Post which had been prepared by his party.
Apart from that, he also hopes that with the implementation of this ETLE, drivers can be more orderly in traffic.
"Those who have received a ticket letter should immediately verify it at the ETLE post which has been prepared by officers at the Tangerang City Metro Police," he concluded.
